Because even these idiots know that firing on China’s tankers would end up devastating the US and potentially kicking off WW3.
That would personally put them in a position of showing their true cowardice, lack of a plan, severely harm their wealth, and potentially their lives.
That’s all they care about in the end, their money and their skins.
I’m skeptical that China would retaliate. They laid an entire U.S. electricity grid of renewables last year. I feel like they would just let oil prices go to the moon, double down on renewable energy and watch as every other world power comes to them begging for solar panels and cheap electric vehicles.
especially given that US allies no longer give a fuck about Trump's wars.
it'll be US Vs [Iran + China]. and the US military has proven that it can only fight against faraway civilians. but when it comes to actual war they lost against a handful of Afghan goat herders.
The last war the Americans won on their own was against themselves. They ain't winning any wars any time soon.
