It also comes down to whether or not it's reasonable to expect to be able to access streaming media for free. You are making a choice: listen to advertisements, or pay the subscription.

That they already agreed to when listening to the ad that promised 30min ad free. I agree with you conceptually though. The scam is not on ads showing up, it's on the subversion of expectations. They were told X and it didn't happen, it's normal to feel scammed.
