Literally violating the first or second commandment (depending on the source), that prohibits idolatry. So yes, 100% a sin.
Also the sin of pride. As if he wasn't in constant violation of all 7 deadly (if only) sins. What, lust, greed, envy, gluttony, sloth, wrath, and Pride as the case may primarily be.
I am not very well versed in the Bible. Are the 7 deadly sins actually canon (as in they are mentioned in the book), or is it more of a "modern" invention?
Honestly, I am the least informed person on the Bible. Nevertheless, I have picked up a few things, some from South park, other is from just daily use which includes the seven deadly sins, wish I had to look up to be clear.
