General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Isn't there actually evidence that israel knew an attack was coming and didn't do anything about it?

I wouldn't go as far as to say that indicates they literally did it, but not stopping it to drum up support for a genocide sadly makes a lot of sense to me.

That's not what a false flag is though, a false flag would be Israel faking Oct 7, which is insane, and you shouldn't run for office if you're dumb enough to believe that.

You hear this a lot with 9/11 conspiracy theories too, the reality worse, it's that bad people never miss an opportunity to do bad things, be it invading Afghanistan & Iraq or Palestine. And intelligence services are generally complacent so when something is an order of magnitude worse than expected they sometimes fuck up.

If he posted something founded in reality, taking then bait on the balloons is still a major fuck up.

The reality is there a lot of antisemism and if you want to be anti-zionist in politics you have to be very careful to avoid saying/doing things that the very controlled (by capital, you'll notice Farage saying actually anti-semetic stuff dropped out then news cycle real quick) press can use against you.
