"Regime" literally means "government", it's just a propaganda word to make it sound scary. You could perfectly correctly speak of the "American regime" imprisoning ethnic minorities or the "German regime" forbidding military-aged men from leaving the country without permission, the fact that you unironically use "regime in Iran" as if it were something intrinsically negative proves that your whole understanding of this is vibes-based. If you care about Iranians, riot in your EU/US homeland to destroy the economic sanctions, which MURDER HALF A MILLION people YEARLY since 1975 per the latest The Lancet publications.
