We are polyamorous and relationship anarchists, but 16 seems like way too much to keep effective track of and remain close to.

How do y’all do it? Especially without hierarchy (either creeping in or outright)?

I don't, and I agree that it's unrealistic. 16 sexual partners is doable, but more than 5-7 romantic partners is basically impossible.

Yeah, we've seen others try and fail to have a lot of partners because hierarchy and abuse inevitably crept in with more partners. Not saying that's an inherent outcome but they all need to be very careful and thoughtful, and sadly, a lot of people just aren't.

tbh, the girl in the original yuri did explicitly want a harem, which are inherently hierarchical relationships. At the same time, the manga seems to be about her ambitions being humbled by someone equally dominant, so the issue is likely moot.
