Hope everyone had a great long weekend. I visited some friends, did a bit of cooking and house admin, and I see Iโm not the only one that went to the Rome exhibit! It was a bit smaller than I thought it would be, and a bit crowded, but I enjoyed it. The marble head of Jupiter was the most impressive object for me. But the little everyday items remind you that people are the same everywhere, even 2000 years ago. There were objects from hairdressers, merchants, priests, bowls to eat from, coffins (sarcophagi), coins and art. Just people being people. 2000 years is so incredibly long ago. Amazing that so many items survived.
