It's not even censorship. Algorithms on popular platforms use image reading software to detect certain words, and then downgrade posts in the algorithm which contains those words. This image had a few pixels out of place to stop the image reader from detecting that word. That's it. You're bitching and moaning to a person who posts thousands of posts they get from other platforms.
If you actually cared, you'd find out who is posting these on those platforms and complain to them.
You're not being helpful in the slightest. The person who posted this on the original platform will never see your shit.
Quit giving into the shit ass algorithms that run our lives.
Who the hell do you think censored it? OP? it's a fucking repost
I'm not, you are. You're spending your free time (and mine) complaining about something an algorithm is causing.
YOU are giving into them. I am advocating for us to STOP wasting our time with this shit. If this "censorship" bothers you so much just block the people who post it.
The irony here is palpable
We're on Lemmy which doesn't use Algos. Pasting a picture from Twitter that does and the comments here bitching about it does nothing for the Original Post on a completely different platform.
You're an idiot if you think otherwise.
Let me stop you right there.
Fuck anything that uses an Algo. You and people who support it are why the internet is dying.
...these posts come from platforms that use algorithms. That's my entire point, dumbass. Way to miss the fucking point. If you don't want to see posts coming from "anything that uses an algo" then block posters who post content from those platforms.
You've proved my point so well, thanks.
The fact you think I proved your point really drives home the fact how utterly stupid your argument is.
yeah, you're right, whoever censored it in the first place made it completely useless for us to post on our free platform, we really just should't post anything that's not absolutely free of any pixels defined to break algos /s
