If you want to see what that future looks like for CA as tech giants take over politicians look no further than WA state.
Data centers there are popping up all over. The legislature just ended this years session and decided not to take up regulating data centers. Did I mention this year was the warmest winter the PNW has seen in years, record low snowpack in the mountains and they are already sending up red flags about this fire season.
Just a little more salt to the wound was that it's been recently talked about how data centers are increasing temperatures around them.
But at least I can use AI to write this reply ๐
Or look at SF & Oakland where Coinbase/Ycombinator got rid of all but 1 progressive city council person on both councils & we now have Flock cameras survailing us everywhere.
