This statement about game developers and corporate whims has been true for forever. It’s why many of us left the video game industry years ago and never looked back.

At this point, I truly wonder why anybody would seek employment in the game industry (and many other tech sectors as well). I’d completely written off most of that throughout the years when I was trying to re-train in a different field.
