Yeah, but look how much I had to type instead of people taking initiative to fill a gap of ignorance. Some people did or already understood; the rest shot off downvotes quicker than a 5s DDG search, or followed Lemmy's groupthink cascade, where the arrows become a poster for argumentum ad populum.

Which, again, also kind of really boosts that coincidence going on here. Should my own ego give a fuck, the projecting behaviour of a perceived many others' ideas of how I should be could impact my social security. Fortunately, I just find it annoying enough to whinge about and couldn't care less for my own egoism. This simply because I am rarely socially challenged, implying my egoism is similar to others—as we all expect of ourselves. So, I can self-assuredly assume apathy or misunderstanding from others, and that isn't anxious for me at all. If it were a common occurrence, this could change things, and how people socially perceive me could come to the forefront of my ego, possibly manifesting into social anxiety.

Lemmy do be a strange place.

It's not a wild thing for people to misunderstand the difference between egoism and egotism. You're castigating the community over the misunderstanding of a single letter between a word that is common and one that is niche, and in a way that screams of your own ego.

Ironically, amusingly, your post drips of egotism.
