I wouldn't want to talk to someone who thought pineapples were vegetables anyway.
It's engagement bait, to make people comment under the fake conversation.

Vegetables are defined as any plant or edible part of a plant. Hence pineapples are vegetables. All fruits are vegetables.
IIRC, the designation was primarily a taxation effort (tariff), not a taxonomic one. 🤓
