That’s it for Sora. OpenAI has announced the shutdown of one of the most popular tools for creating generative content.

The development team has announced that it is “saying goodbye to Sora” and will provide more details soon.

To everyone who created content with Sora, shared it, and built a community around it - thank you.

What you did with Sora mattered, and we understand that this news may have disappointed you.

Finally! The onslaught of sloppy videos will go down a bit.

In fairness, it did watermark the slop it generated - although that wasn't too hard to crop out of course.
