Deodorant? More like odorant. It’s just over applied cologne/etc. by another name.
You still smell bad under that and need to take a shower, drink more water, smoke less, and eat fewer onions.
Fun fact: sweat itself doesn’t stink. Follow-up fun fact: humans make two types of sweat, and only one leads to dank body odor. Eccrine sweat glands are spread out all over your body. Apocrine sweat glands produce “stress sweat” that’s thicker and sticker, typically in moments when you’re anxious or nervous. Apocrine glands are in your armpits and taint. Bacteria love growing in this sticky sweat and are what make that typical “body odor”.

Also fun fact: Some populations like Korea have a ‘broken’ gene that makes it so they don’t secrete sweat from the Apocrine gland. Lucky ducks.
My wife has that gene and I have the exact opposite. She can go for a week long backpacking trip and smell like nothing while my body will defeat any deodorant in under 6 hours just sitting in the office.
