I am watching The King and I , last time I saw this was decades ago

omg,

this is a battle of the sexes story, which is always fun

but the representations of culture are quite ... embarrassing

all I can think of is that's not how royalty works and the accents and dances etc are 😬

that she was a brave Victorian woman, of whom there were many

and the king and court were very wise in anticipating and handling Western imperialism and influence

4 hobbits, also I love how in the 40s and 50s so many movies were set in other countries and cultures, now we seem stuck in the West
