The long legal battle is the issue here. The problem with cut and dry is that it isn't always so, and evidence needs to be gathered. I agree that the process needs to be improved, I do worry about the cops being the ones to be the judge effectively, on cases where people are murdered. I know it's early days and I clearly don't have all the info
