I think I know what you mean (but correct me if I'm off on some other train of thought). There is a difference between the venting of targets of imperialism vs. people who live in the imperial core taking the dehumanization worldview they learned growing up and pointing it inward rather than outward as if this is fixing things, when part of what's important is the need to unlearn that worldview.
