The 1979 Book of Common Prayer will always hold a special place in my heart, as it was the first one I ever used. But I have several other versions that I really enjoy, including but not limited to: the 1662 (particularly the International Edition), the 1928, and the 2019 ACNA prayer book. Does anyone else use different editions occasionally?
Living in Hawai'i, we use the Hawaiian BCP fairly often (which is a translation of the 1662 BCP done by King Kamehameha IV himself). We have also begun work on translating the 1979 BCP into the Hawaiian language. I also use Common Worship: Times and Seasons fairly often for prayers of the people, etc. (I'm the rector of a parish, so I use these for liturgical planning). As for personal prayer, it's 1979 BCP all the way.
