I'm trying to understand your point. Someone has already mentioned (and cited) the delay line memory article, which Carmack's idea seems to be a modern derivative of.
Are you saying that keeping model weights in fiber optics is exposes the system to the same issues that cable in the 90s did? Namely, signal degradation, privacy risks etc?
