Welcome to TheSimpsons, a community for discussing everything related to America's non-prehistoric cartoon family, The Simpsons!

Right about now, you're probably saying, "Troy, basically every post starts with 'Guess the Episode', is that all this community is?"

To which I say you've got some attitude, mister.

But no, any Simpsons content is allowed in this community, although we do ask that you keep the shitposting over in !simpsonsshitposting@sh.itjust.works.

Guess the Episode "Rules"

These "Rules" aren't real, so if you think of something clever, do that instead.

When the Simpsons first launched in 1989, Disco as a fad had already died, but it was only about 10 years in the past.

It would be like today, making fun of The Ice Bucket Challenge, or planking. Not topical, but fairly recent.

Now, in 2026, the idea of a guy in his 30s not being able to let go of disco is even weirder.

Considering every Simpsons character is forever stuck in their current age, it means Disco Stu today would have been born around 1996.

Also, fun fact, despite being 10 years old and 8 years old, Bart and Lisa have both been to the top of the world trade center, despite being born in 2016 and 2018.

And Disco Stu was intended to be a one-off character for this joke.
