France and Italy is suprising. Do they really not trust their each other?
The rich hate the poor, the poor hate the rich. The left hates the right, the right hates the left. Most people hate half of their neighbours, colleagues and family. Paris hates Marseille and everybody hates Paris. Add to the mix that French are very proud and think very highly of themselves, so highly that they think they are better than other French. And we're pessimistic by nature.
