@keepandroidopen — this is the final push for our freedom of choice. Without swift action, Europe risks losing control and paying a high price to stay connected to the digital world we value.
Here are some alternative operating systems to consider:
- @GrapheneOS
- @lineageos
- @murena /e/OS
- @sailfishosnews
Let’s explore these options or develop other alternatives to keep our digital future open and accessible.

@jfr_1980 @GrapheneOS @lineageos @murena @sailfishosnews @keepandroidopen Wait until the Graphene OS team shows up here roasting you for citing other operating systems XD

Regardless of that being true - which I believe to be, GrapheneOs is still the most advanced private Android alternative. Unfortunately, it being available only on Pixela is a downside.

I hope they will consider other potential phones, like Fairphones.

@hornedfiend While Graphene OS is undoubtedly one of the best operating systems for Android devices, its team's behavior towards other Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS) projects is concerning. A diverse and free market is crucial in the open-source community.

However, the Graphene OS team often comes across as dismissive and inferior towards other projects, repeatedly launching attacks while being defensive and unreceptive to criticism of their own product. This behavior can make the digital environment on platforms like Mastodon unpleasant.

GrapheneOS has a strong reputation for this, so I urge the team to rethink their approach and stop using copy‑and‑paste responses to criticize other projects. Their product is excellent, and with a more constructive attitude, they could make a very positive impact.

@hornedfiend It seems they blocked me after making unfounded statements about me. Now I'm unable to respond. Did I say something wrong? Not really. That's the issue: they seem unable to accept criticism.

And this is why they will never be anything more than a nieche -labeit a good one - alternative solution.

You need to have both a strong ideology but at the same time accept criticism in a mature way. I am feeling 2nd hand embarrassment for such behaviours.

Edit: Wait,I'm confused. Who blocked you? I assumed Graphene devs.

@helloclippy @jfr_1980 @keepandroidopen It's not surprising to see someone with an online identity based around content from a prominent Kiwi Farmer is making disingenous attacks on our project and team. We're going to continue countering the dishonest claims about us with factual information. You're trying and failing to misdirect away from it.

From your bio:

> I'm part of the LGBTQ+ community

Meanwhile, you support Kiwi Farmers and their attacks on us:

I think what they're saying is that this person who has " I'm part of the LGBTQ+ community" is also supportive of Kiwi Farms, which has been known to harass lgbtq+ individuals, among others.
