Sadly looks like people are using AI to create fake videos and spread misinformation about the cartel's power: (Spanish) https://www.sinembargo.mx/4768982/la-muerte-de-el-mencho-moviliza-al-cjng-y-a-los-sicarios-de-las-redes-datos/

The cartels themselves are probably using bot accounts to try to seem more powerful than they really are.

Looks like this Costco was really set on fire though: (Spanish) https://heraldodemexico.com.mx/nacional/2026/2/22/reportan-incendio-en-tienda-costco-de-puerto-vallarta-tras-muerte-de-el-mencho-esto-se-sabe-video-772280.html

Although, not sure if it was "guns-blazing bust-in and set it on fire" vs just some fucking cowards setting shit on fire and then running away.

vs just some fucking cowards setting shit on fire and then running away

Would it have been less cowardly to do it the guns blazing way?

There is definitely a noticable difference between criminals that have confidence and those that try to run and hide.

The brazen ones are usually easier to catch.
