My issue is more structural than "do these people give me stuff I can occassionally copy-and-paste without everyone getting mad" – they use that stuff to accrue credibility, and the US media apparatus uses that credibility to spread premises which are more important than people objecting or supporting blatantly unpopular moves. Besides, they hit the same notes repeatedly. Generally they just repost the NYT and say "wow this headline is hypocritical". Like yeah of course it is, traditional outlets like that have no purchase with regular people. That's why they need liberals who complain about the editorial practices of orgs they are half a chili too spicy for to keep them in the loop.
