Honestly if Democrats would drive support sensible gun legislation like exists in Massachusetts. Well let's be real Republicans would still be outraged because they can't read but I sure would be much happier.
20 slaughtered six year olds could not convince this country to enact gun control when the bill was introduced. The Democrats realized what kind of insanity they were up against after that and have mostly shelved the initiative, not out of dread, but out of concern for their own campaigns.
We are a selfish people with gutter morals. It's simply not going to happen within the current polity.
