It really was. Especially when you compare it to last years gala. It was my favorite part of the show, but really, the stage itself felt like the star of the show. Such a complex setup, so many moving pieces and all of them screens, including the curtains. The duet between Lionel Richie and Jackie Chan was a pleasant surprise, too.
