I could swear Apple was poised to partner with YMTC for NAND flash in some of their products, in certain global markets, several years before this memory shit show but were blue balled by the U.S. government over "security" concerns.

I need to dig up the credible-sounding tech vlog on the subject I recently listened to. I believe it was actually a Gamers Nexus video.

Either way a stronger 4th party feels like a welcome addition, even if for no other reason than if it satisfies the chinese market it would maybe free up capacity elsewhere.
