Riiiiicccchhhhh in fibre, protein and other useful nutrients. Kinda tasteless by itself, but OK mixed into other things. Absorbs quite a lot of water so good for putting in stews that are too liquidy - same as cous cous. Agree that it does a good fill up and flush out of digestive system. Please note, raw seeds need to be rinsed well to remove bitter taste (saponins) before cooking unless packet says ready to cook on the label.
