Maybe your instance does some automatic conversion on upload. It shows up as a .webp, is that what you originally had? If not, you can upload it somewhere else (like catbox.moe) and then add a link to that image instead of uploading the image itself to the post.
Thanks, catbox seems to work. I initially uploaded it directly from my PC as a gif, still not sure why it was only displaying part of it.
Yeah, then im pretty sure something went wrong when it was converted to webp during upload. If it keeps happening maybe export it as a webp animation from your program. For me uploading it both as a gif and webp worked, so must be something specific to your instance.
