There's lots of places in the world that are undeveloped that have terrible night skies. No, it's the best because the Atacama Desert is the highest desert in the world with some of the lowest rainfall for non-arctic land.

What are you advocating? You seem intent on screaming about buildings or development but don't seem to understand how special the area is that is being talked about.
