Cool idea, but no practical way to implement it within the current system.
They would basically just starve us until we had no choice but to give in, or we just die.
I have some thoughts on that…
How are they gonna starve us when workers are the ones who grow the food, deliver the food to grocery stores, stock the shelves, and sell other workers the food? If we actually had more unions and did some organizing with a general strike in mind, we could setup strike funds and a plan for how to get food during a general strike. Then all we'd have to do is support each other and wait them out til our demands are met.
That's a LOT of action packed into a single phrase. Maybe we'll get there, but organizing the ability to carry out every function in a bypass of current currency/ownership is as great, if not greater, a task than a war to overthrow the government... because practically, you would be overthrowing the government.
I think the promise of AI has them believing this is within reach as soon as they replace us.
