The Department of Homeland Security is using a repurposed $55 billion Navy contract to convert warehouses into makeshift jails and plan sprawling tent cities in remote areas.

I distinctly remember, in the late 90s, when talk radio was really taking off, sitting at my desk at my proofreading job for the data entry clerks at an HMO listening to the Mancow show (yeah lol) and hearing about how Clinton was going to get FEMA to build all these camps and declare martial law and round up the Republicans, it was all over those talk radio shows.. well... look who's building the fucking camps now, et tu?

It was a projection for the plans they already had - they just didn’t want anyone else to implement them first.
