I suspect proving psychological abuse for arrest (to a cop no less) or following conviction requires shit with lawyers and recordings, compared to physical, while stats are collected on self-reports *edited for clarity
very unclear what you are trying to say but hopefully you're not dismissing psychological & emotional abuse. Though unclear what arrests would look like there going back to the post.
No-no, that’s my point, just arrest as a stat would probably disfavor psychological abuse, probably for all gendered victims, and conviction on it would require like recording interactions, and establishing patterns/why that thing is bad to say etc. while self reporting on questionnaires it will get into statistics
Yeah you can't take a picture of psychological abuse like you can for physical after the fact, so it's more of a he said she said case unless you have witnesses or footage.
