Setting aside how "leftist" and "progressive" aren't synonyms (one has to be at least somewhat anti-capitalist to be a leftist), and how Biden is a far cry from a proper progressive (though he still was the most progressive president America had for a good while), voting for a progressive doesn't necessarily make one a progressive. What if the 9 million were mostly centrists or neoliberals? You need to address that possibility.

That tracks for tankies like you, actually. Not recognizing any actual progressivism as a legitimate political ideology.
