"As revolutionaries, we don't have the right to say that we're tired of explaining. We must never stop explaining. We also know that when the people understand, they cannot but follow us. In any case, we, the people, have no enemies when it comes to peoples. Our only enemies are the imperialist regimes and organizations." Thomas Sankara, 1985

Murder is a bit harsh. I say have a kangaroo court first, followed by a tour of public shaming and contrition around the country. Those who plead for mercy spend the rest of their lives in chains working in the fields to feed the rest of us, the stubborn ones meet Saddam Hussein. Start with anyone with 10 figures in their bank accounts; though, sadly, even if we did one trial a day, it would still take 3 years to get to them all just in the US alone. The trials would make for good TV and a morale boost during the transition.
Mao already showed us how to take care of landlords (and prosperity gospel preachers).
Youre way too lenient comrade. Most of them deserve to experience hell on earth by torturing them.
I personally don't want to see them tortured, that's something I couldn't live with, since their screams would be just like humans', and we're bound to see and hear a lot of that in the coming years. I want them to face the wall or hang. Let the world be done with them quickly as possible.
What's the point of torturing someone? That sounds very Hollywood
I'm not going to condemn the victims for exacting revenge. I just don't see how torture is supposed to help society grow, however. Since when has a regime that relied on threats of violence to keep order succeeded?
And how would we even figure out how much torture someone deserves? I know individuals who have ruined the lives of thousands of people, whole families, but I also know which court let that individual live freely and even prosper, I know which members of society benefit from this and don't give two shits about what happens to those like me. I know hypocrites who try to feed me words of comfort, two faces who pretend they care, while not doing anything to help me advance.
There's the great man theory, but I think there's also the horrible men which people put all the blame on, to make themselves feel better. All my life I've seen Hitler constantly being mocked and ridiculed and what did that do? idk maybe it would have been worse if not for that, but there's multiple Genocides going on so imo, not much has been achieved.
