Wait screaming trees is actually the name of a band?

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 day ago

I think Josh Homme from Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age was in the band for a period of time.

It feels like there is a non zero chance that this graphic was made by a member of the Screaming Trees, because nobody k ows who that is, certainly not at the level of the other 8. Like, Stone Temple Pilots would be a good actual 9th. Maybe Garbage.

Screaming Trees were a big name in grunge (not part of tge big 5, but in the same scene) in the 90's and have collaborated with several of the other bands in this image. Mark Lanegan (rip) has gone solo and done a bunch of stuff with Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, and Eddie Vedder since then.

He also sang some of Queens of the Stone Age's best songs.

I don't think I heard more than one song by Garbage until they did that Bond theme song.

I guess I was in a different music loop, I liked Garbage (the album) and Version 2.0. V2.0 in particular is one of my favorite albums from High School.

Guess so! I was mostly exposed to country and oldies at the time.
