If homosexuality was so rampant in Roman times. And today we like to think of our own countries as roman-esque. Then was is the hate toward LGBTQ today? When did the hate start and Y? (lemmy.world)

I don't think it was considered homosexuality in the modern sense. To my knowledge (please correct me if you know better) Roman men married women, and "topped" their subordinates, often while away from their wives on campaigns.

Seems to me like they considered it some combination of dominance display and being "prison gay".

Again, I'm not even close to sure about this so please enlighten me if I'm spouting nonsense.
