I'd shove it out to the curb, and spray paint "FREE" on the side of it, in hopes that some neighborhood kids would come by and vandalize it.

Only if I already have a replacement. Otherwise I'm disassembling the door, removing all the compute-y bits, and putting it back together with a wood panel where the screen used to be.
