I once applied to the same position I was fired from. They let me go for refusing to return to office towards the tail end of COVID. Advertised the position as 100% remote, so I figured they'd come to their senses. Never heard from them. ๐Ÿคฃ

I know. That position had a particularly obnoxious marketing person in a technical lead position. No idea how they ended up there.
