The war games went so badly for the US that Finnish soldiers were told to go easy on the Americans and stop humiliating them.

According to The Times, the incident reflects a wider problem in the United States' Arctic military expertise. According to the magazine's assessment, Europe's NATO countries, especially Finland, Norway and Great Britain, clearly have more experience and capabilities to operate in northern and cold conditions.
