Translation: I demand everyone automate their job so I can stop paying them, and all the money goes to me. I will not accept any other response, because I'm too dumb to understand why it won't work. But don't try telling me that - I saw an impressive YouTube video of a tech demo, so now I'm a visionary genius. If you protest, I'll hire someone else since you all are NPCs and I'm the main character.

Some days I feel surrounded by this.

And the part that needles at me, deep at the back of my mind:

These folks have seen what I can do after decades of daily investment in learning.

And I suspect that what they think is, "this person must have seen one hell of an inspirational talk on YouTube, to be able to do all that."

I work to make the next generation not have to invest as long or hard as I did. But it still ain't magic, yet.
