He never even held the gun. He had it holstered. They found it while wrestling him to the ground. His crime was using his body to block the Nazi Gestapo from assaulting a woman.

And just a reminder that it is legal to own a gun. I cannot speak to Minneapolis' carry laws, but I'm pretty confident that the punishment for breaking them does not scale up to the death penalty.

In Minnesota, you need a carry permit in order to legally carry (open or concealed). Reports are that Pretti was licensed.

I counted ten. And the guy at the end who just dumped a couple more rounds into the immobile, prone body on the ground should be in jail right now, by literally any standard.

And (if we trust they didn't plant evidence), he only had a 9mm with 2 magazines. That's daily carry, self defense amounts of ammo, not massacre amounts.
