Because Milei is an idiot Trump ally with similar beliefs and he is strongly against covid lockdowns and believes they were "crimes against humanity".

To give a bit more context, the usa has been influencing elections in latin america and there has been a trend in the last 10 years of trump-like leaders in the far right around here. Argentina has elected one of them in the last elections, and he's replicating the trump agenda and extending his power to the region, while destroying the internal economy
