Dang too bad it wasn't more fruitful, someone else might have better advice as to what went wrong, could just be the seeds, I know clones are popular to grow from because it will be more consistent.
For drying you can hang the bud if it's really moist, but what I was taught to cure the bud is to store it in a jar for a few days, opening every so often to let the air out until the bud is dry enough that the stem breaks without bending too much. I've known people to just set it out on newspaper or in paper bags until it's drier also.
Can work but really big risk of mold. At least of you got bigger buds. And I rather have to dry than to moist. Hang them or wetcut flowers and put them on a net . Dehumidifier is good to use. There are cheap moist controls you can put in the jars afterwards, same they use for cigars well worth it to not have to worry to much about missing burping them.
I sort of described the method I was taught inaccurately, I meant to put in jars for curing after it was already hang dried most of the way through with a fan also, this was in a lower humidity locale though, for sure you'll probably want a bit more moisture control in a more humid place
