Only two of a buch of seeds that sprouted ended up surviving. One started flowering pretty early on, despite getting the exact amount and schedule of light as the other one (they shared a pot). The other kept growing taller then died without any signs of flowers.

The post pic is from ~2 weeks ago. At the start of this week, it looked like this: And the leaves just kept dying.

Today I decided to just harvest it. Here it is after cleaning:

I don't know what strain this is, because I didnt label the seeds. But it smells very citrusy and I know there were some lemon haze and lemon skunk seeds among them.

What are the next steps? I've heard I should hang them somewhere to dry, is that correct?

I've been following this guide and had really good results. https://www.growweedeasy.com/drying-curing

Tldr:

  • dry 3-5 days in the tent you grew until the small stems are crunchy ( not soggy). Since your buds in the pic look small and you cut them off of the stem I'd do 1-3 days but have an eye every day to see if the outside of the bud feels dry on touch
  • then put into a jar with hygrometer

a) if above 65% open jar for an hour or so (to prevent mold)

b) try to keep it curing in jar between 60% - 65% (check the chart in the link)

c) ready to smoke when it's 60 or lower

  • don't try to rehydrate

Thanks! But I grew it in my balcony though. I don't have an hygrometer either

A hygrometer costs 1 dollar and gives you exact measurements (and worth it imo). Maybe another poster has good ideas for eyeballing it. But basically your goal is to avoid mold and a long drying process to bring out the flavour. If it begins to smell like hey the curing/drying was too fast

balcony

Put it in a room that is dark and has fair ventilation but no direct airflowq eg from a ventilator (the humidity shouldn't be above 60% either)
