Have you considered a supportive device for the works or conceptual ideas, like a general tablet (e.g. a great one I had a chance to use for drawings was Xiaomi Pro 7 with its official stylus and case with trackpad), or an actual drawing tablet like Wacom's, the vendor?
These supported me in addition to the always ineffably magnificent and charming wooden pencils and oil, too!
