UK Politics
General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Noone likes Farage but this makes you sound like a fucking lunatic arsehole.
Happy to carry that title with pride if the world has less of those people.
But hey, look, Trump is still here too. If you like the accelerated version of the fall of the Anglo-American empire, keep them alive by all means.
I don't understand why removing them from power or voting them out of office or changing people's attitudes has fallen by the way side. Straight to violence. It's just sad really in my opinion.
And before you respond with
Maybe you're not trying hard enough... or at all? If you're happy to escalate to violent murder at the drop of a hat, then so are people that disagree with you. And then everyone is fucked.
Nominated for understatement of the century.
Come November, when the first elections are cancelled, perhaps you’ll reconsider your position.
The royalists/confederates/conservatives/fascists have been going straight to violence for years, if not forever. At this point it's community and self defense.
