The subject is the guys who fought the nazis and would have "educated" the dipshits openly supporting them.

I am aware the US didn't help the USSR liberate europe out of some moral compulsion, hence "incidentally".

Right, the subject of the post, yes.
But "the guys who fought the nazis " are as good as dead.
I'm sure the commenter didn't mean those when he said veterans.
Those post WW2 can't use the excuse of 'liberating' for their looting and state terrorism.
