People have been playing down Nazi dog whistling so long that Nazis have become emboldened to do Nazi stuff.

They've wormed their way into positions of power such as judges and statesmen. Anyone with an inkling of hate for Nazis would do jury nullification but then most people think the point of jury duty is to convict someone.
