My sister needs a streaming device but they all seem to be awful. The only one that seems somewhat decent is the Apple TV but that's too expensive. Out of the cheaper ones which one is the least worst? I'm currently leaning towards a Firestick because it seems marginally better than Roku and Chromecast have apparently been discontinued

Is it certified for HD content on Netflix etc or can you only get low quality streams?

I don't use Netflix so that I cannot say, personally never had issues with low quality but don't have specific numbers there.
